Shadman Quamar Mahir is a Lecturer in the Department of Apparel Manufacturing & Technology at BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT). Prior to joining BUFT, he served as a Lecturer in the Department of Textile Engineering at Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

A distinguished academic, he graduated in Apparel Manufacturing & Technology as the top student of his batch at BUFT, earning the Chancellor’s Gold Medal for his excellence. Beyond academia he possesses industry experience in Marketing & Merchandising within the RMG sector. Passionate about student mentorship he is actively involved in leadership initiatives and student counseling, contributing to academic and professional development.

Teaching/Research Specialization

His research focuses on enhancing productivity in apparel manufacturing, efficiency optimization, denim washing techniques, cost analysis and fashion retailing. He has authored several research papers in reputed journals addressing topics such as sustainable dyeing techniques, fabric performance assessment, denim cost analysis and lean manufacturing methodologies.
